The 50 mg vial is the one to watch. It is ten times the 5 mg vial, so the same volume of water gives ten times the concentration, and a figure carried over from a smaller vial will be wrong by that factor.

Semaglutide is one of the fourteen products on this site with no third-party certificate.

Seventeen of our thirty-one carry one, naming the laboratory and the batch. Semaglutide does not, its product page says “not tested” in those words, and so does this page.

We will not quote a supplier’s own purity claim as though it were independent, and we will not put a badge where a certificate should be. When the result comes back, the product page gets the figure, the laboratory and the batch.

This is the part that matters most on this page, and it does not favour us.

Health Canada has authorised semaglutide as a prescription medicine, sold as Ozempic, approved in 2018, Wegovy, approved in 2021, and Rybelsus. All carry Drug Identification Numbers, all are prescribed by a physician and dispensed by a licensed pharmacy.

In 2026 Health Canada went further and authorised generic semaglutide, making Canada the first G7 country to do so. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories received approval for a generic of Ozempic, and Apotex received approval for Sevmia, a generic of Wegovy. Health Canada authorised both after reviewing evidence that they meet its criteria for safety, efficacy and quality.

What we sell is none of those. It has no DIN, it has not been reviewed by Health Canada for safety, efficacy or quality, and it is supplied for laboratory research use only.

If what you want is semaglutide as a medicine, the authorised route exists, it is a doctor and a pharmacy, and as of 2026 it includes generics. That route did not exist in this form two years ago. We would rather tell you it does than let you assume it does not.

Semaglutide is not among the fourteen compounds named in Health Canada’s 9 April 2026 advisory.¹ That advisory nonetheless states that peptides are generally regulated as prescription drugs in Canada and that “for research use only” labelling does not make a product legal or exempt it from regulatory requirements. Semaglutide has an authorised form with a dosing schedule set by a regulator and prescribed by a physician. That schedule belongs to Ozempic and Wegovy, not to a research vial, and reproducing it here would imply an equivalence that does not exist.

This calculator converts mass and volume into concentration. That is the whole job.

Run it the other way with the third tab: if you know you added 2.5 mL to a vial and measured 20 mg per mL, the vial held 50 mg.
