Tanning Research Peptides
One compound sits here, Melanotan 2, and it has no third-party purity result. It’s in stock and priced, which is more than several categories on this site can say, but the certificate column is empty and we’d rather lead with that.
It’s named in Health Canada’s notices. Nothing here is approved for human use in Canada, and we publish no dosing.
What Melanotan 2 is
| Compound | Melanotan 2, also written Melanotan II, MT2 and MT-II |
| Class | Melanocortin analogue |
| CAS | 121062-08-6 |
| Molecular weight | 1,024.2 g/mol |
| Strength | 10mg |
| Purity | Not third-party tested. No purity claim applies. |
| Availability | In stock |
Melanotan 2, Melanotan II, MT2 and MT-II are all the same compound. The Arabic and Roman numeral forms get used interchangeably, which is worth knowing when you're comparing listings. Identity's verifiable through PubChem.1
There is no purity figure here, and we are not inventing one
This category has demand and stock and no assay. That is an uncomfortable combination to write about honestly, because the easy move is to quote the manufacturer's own claimed figure and let it read like an independent result.
A supplier's self-declared number and a third-party HPLC report are different documents. Where we have the second one, elsewhere on this site, we name the laboratory and the batch. Here we have neither, so the column stays blank.
If a certificate matters more to you than this specific compound, the categories with full coverage are healing and recovery, three of three, and longevity and cellular, two of two.
What the published work actually is
A 1996 pilot phase-I clinical study evaluated melanotan-II, described in that paper as a superpotent cyclic melanotropic peptide.2 That's a small, early-stage human study from thirty years ago.
It isn't evidence about a research-grade vial bought online today, and a phase-I pilot isn't a demonstration of anything beyond initial tolerability in the specific preparation and setting it used. We name it so you know what the literature consists of, not to borrow its authority.
Melanotan 2 shares its receptor class with PT-141 in sexual health and hormone research peptides. Both are melanocortin analogues. That's a chemical relationship, not a functional one, and it doesn't mean findings about one transfer to the other.
Regulatory status in Canada
Health Canada regulates injectable peptides as drugs and has stated in writing that labelling one "for research use only" doesn't remove it from that regulation.3 Melanotan 2 is supplied for laboratory research use only and is not approved for human or veterinary use.
Both Melanotan analogues appear by name on the seized-product list in Health Canada's notice.4 That's a direct statement about this specific compound rather than the category in general, and it's why it sits in the second paragraph of this page rather than the last.
We publish no dosing, no protocols and no stacks.
Buying tanning peptides in Canada
Melanotan 2 ships at 10mg, anywhere in Canada, and it's in stock. It's a lyophilised powder and needs bacteriostatic water, which we stock separately.
When you order, the batch reference travels on the packing slip. There isn't a purity report to connect it to yet, and when there is, this page'll name the laboratory and the batch the way the other categories do.

Common questions
Is Melanotan 2 tested? No. It has no third-party purity result on this site, and no purity claim is made for it.
Are Melanotan 2, Melanotan II, MT2 and MT-II different products? No. Same compound, four ways of writing it.
Do you stock Melanotan I? No. One compound sits in this category.
What is a melanocortin analogue? A compound that acts on the melanocortin receptor family. It's a statement about a receptor class, not about what happens afterwards.
Is it legal in Canada? Health Canada regulates injectable peptides as drugs, and research use labelling doesn't change that. Both Melanotan analogues are named on Health Canada's seized-product list. Nothing here is approved for use in a person, we won't supply dosing, and buying a vial doesn't make its use lawful.
Is it safe? No safety profile has been established, and there is no purity assay either, so there is less information behind this compound than behind most of the catalogue.
How long does reconstituted material last? Much less time than sealed lyophilised powder. Reconstitution shortens the usable life considerably, which is why the vial ships as dry powder.
